Itinerary
Full day Koh Ker and Beng Mealea Tour
08:00 Your day begins with a private pick-up at your hotel. Unlike shared tours, there are no multiple stops for other guests. We head directly north, enjoying a scenic 2.5-hour drive through authentic rural landscapes. Your guide will use this time to introduce you to the unique history of the "Usurper King," Jayavarman IV.
Morning:
The Koh Ker Archaeological Park: Arrive at the remote Koh Ker complex. As a private guest, you can spend extra time at the sites that interest you most:
Prasat Thom: Scale the 36-meter-high, seven-tiered sandstone pyramid. From the summit, enjoy a private, panoramic view of the vast jungle canopy stretching toward the Dangrek Mountains.
Prasat Pram: Witness nature’s power at this small sanctuary where massive strangler figs have completely encased the red brick towers—one of the most iconic photography spots in Cambodia.
Prasat Krahom: Explore the "Red Temple," famous for its imposing stone lion remains and mysterious, shadowed galleries.
12:00 We break for lunch at a local restaurant near the ruins. In a private tour setting, your guide can help you navigate the menu to find authentic Khmer dishes tailored to your taste. (Note: Lunch is at your own account).
Afternoon:
Beng Mealea: The Temple of the Lotus Pond After lunch, we drive to the enigmatic Beng Mealea. Built with the same floor plan as Angkor Wat but left unrestored, it offers a "Tomb Raider" experience without the crowds. Your private guide will lead you over wooden walkways and through collapsed stone vaults, pointing out hidden carvings of Hindu mythology that are often missed by larger groups. This is the time for quiet reflection and high-end photography.
16:30 – 17:00 Return to Siem Reap
Relax in your private vehicle as we journey back. Your driver can drop you directly at your hotel or at a local evening market or restaurant of your choice in the city.
